Programs - Bilingual Counseling

Our Bilingual Counseling Program provides services to families and students who due to socioeconomic and cultural factors are at high risk for various types of trauma including but not limited to: domestic violence, depression, physical abuse, victims of crime and poverty.

Through counseling the participants experiencing domestic violence will be enabled to:

  1. Identify the four kinds of abuse,
  2. Identify specific patterns of behavior operating in domestic violence situations,
  3. Have a better understanding of what causes the victim to remain in the relationship,
  4. Recognize the potential for serious physical and emotional harm to women and children,
  5. Identify some things one can do when confronted with domestic violence.
